Benefits of Using a Topical Skin Lightener

Skin lightening - the medical term for what is commonly called skin bleaching is depigmentation.
Two doctors at the University of British Columbia have completed a scholarly review of the treatments available.
They report that skin lightening agents (creams and gels) are commonly used to treat the condition known as hyperpigmentation. The symptoms include freckling, age spots, moles, naturally dark skin areas under the eyes and arms, and melasma, a serious disorder resulting in irregular patches of skin several shades darker than surrounding tissue. The disorder affects Caucasians as well as people of Asian, Middle Eastern and African skin tones.
The doctors cite a growing number of what are medically referred to as depigmenting agents. Over-the-counter skin lightening products act as depigmenting agents, as do prescription-strength solutions employed by skin care professionals.
The study explains the cause of hyperpigmentation, which are excessive amounts of the dark pigment melanin drawn to the skin surface.
Some skin lighteners work by impacting the pigment melanin itself. The doctors cite kojic acid, which works to decrease melanin in skin cells. They point out that for years the Japanese diet has included kojic acid for general health benefit.
The doctors consider Alpha Arbutin an alternative medicine that inhibits melanin activity.

Beauty Tips For Everyone

Sometimes finding the right style can be hard. When you discover all the beauty product options available to you, it can be difficult to know which products are really worth buying, which tips really work and so forth. The following beauty tips will assist you in choosing a style that fits you.

Use a soft bristle toothbrush to rub any dead skin off of your lips. This technique will make them feel softer and appear cleaner. After removing dead skin cells from the lips apply a petroleum gel or balm to your lips so you can add moisture and softness. It is recommended to use this technique every other day.

Since unwanted facial hair can be embarrassing, remove it. Everyone is able to remove the unwanted hair by themselves using wax or tweezers. Or, you can have it done at a salon by a professional. Either way is an easy solution to help you feel better about your appearance.

To determine whether you have cool or warm skin tones, check out the veins on the interior portion of your wrist. Cool skinned people's veins will appear bluish in color. Warm skinned people's veins have a greenish tint instead. Cool skin tones look best in cool colors, such as blue and purple, whereas warm skin tones, look best in warm colors like red, yellow and orange.

It does not matter how tired or pressed for time you may be, you should never skip your cleansing rituals. Drier skin benefits from thick, creamy cleansers, whereas oily skin benefits most from cleansing balms, washes, or bars. All skin types can be dulled by buildup of makeup, sweat, and dead skin cells.

You should try to treat your skin to a beauty treatment once a month. There is no need to go to a spa for skin and beauty treatments. Most spa treatments can be performed at home and you can even make the products you need in your own kitchen. The best method for at home facials is to exfoliate, apply a mud mask, followed by and astringent and finish with a great moisturizer.

Remember to remove all makeup before going to sleep every single night. Leaving makeup on while you sleep causes blackheads and other blemishes. The makeup traps oils and debris in your pores causing acne and breakouts. Always remember to moisturize after cleaning your face. Dry skin is just as prone to breakouts as dirty skin.

Skin Preparation Before

Preparing for your EVOLV spray tanning session can be done in a few easy steps:
  1. Exfoliate and shave the day before or the day of your spray tan. We sell a great scrub that work against the spray tan and cleans it off the skin completely before your tan!
  2. The day of your tan, try not to use moisturizers, perfumes or lotions because it may create a barrier between your skin and the tan.
  3. Shower the night before.
  4. Don’t apply lotion or perfumes. We try to tell the clients to not wear anything on their skin before their tan. It creates a barrier between the skin and the tan.

Combining Waxing and Tanning Services

The response to skin therapies like sunless tanning and waxing is different from patient to patient because of biological variables. For example, when we speak of recommend drug doses, we calculate the dose based on the individual 's weight. To determine the "who, when, how and why" of the skin we also need to have criteria to help predict suitability and effectiveness of a specific procedure. A variety of classification methods have been developed to assist us, the simplest of which is the classification of skin condition (normal, dry sensitive, combination). While important, classifying skin condition is not vital in the assessment for laser hair removal or other hair removal therapies, like waxing. Skin typing  is a more detailed classification that defining skin condition. It gives indications as to how a certain skin type will react to various treatment conditions.

The condition of the skin is especially important for an effective waxing service. This is particularly true of soft wax, which adheres to the surface of the skin and less so for hard wax, which does not. Skin that is dry may present with scaly patches of dead skin cells that may benefit from the exfoliating properties of soft waxing, but the dry skin may also trap multiple hairs that should be released with exfoliation prior to the service. Very moist or hydrated skin can also be problematic as the moisture inhibits the wax from adhering to the skin and from being left behind during the removal process. Continuous dusting with powder during the service helps alleviate the problem.
